Sulkhan Gvalia has served as Deputy CEO, Chief Risk Officer since January 2005. Since 1995  Mr. Gvalia served as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of TbilUniversalBank (TUB), acquired by Bank of Georgia in November 2004. During his tenure at TUB, Mr. Gvalia spearheaded several departments at TUB, including finance, accounting and strategy. Mr. Gvalia received his undergraduate degreein law from Tbilisi State University.
